Hi, there! 👋 I’m Jiale. I am a Research Assistant Professor at the Center for AI for Social Science at Shenzhen Loop Area Institute (SLAI). Before joining SLAI, I was a post-doctoral fellow at the School of Business and Management, HKUST. I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from BUPT in 2023, during which I was also a visiting Ph.D. student at SUTD. I received my Bachelor degree in Communication Engineering from XDU in 2018.
My research focuses on AI for economic and social systems, particularly Economic World Models, , and economic and financial agents. I study how AI agents perceive, reason, interact, and adapt in dynamic economic environments, and how such agentic systems can be used to model, simulate, and understand real-world economic and financial processes.
